Resumen

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar una estrategia institucional para el desarrollo de programas de formación profesional que integren, de forma balanceada, las prácticas docentes, de investigación y los procesos de formación profesional entre los académicos de la Universidad Abierta para Adultos de República Dominica (UAPA) y la Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica (UNED). Se plantea una investigación cualitativa, transeccional, no experimental, con base en una revisión y análisis bibliográfico y documental en la que se recopilaron, seleccionaron y analizaron contenidos de publicaciones sobre las características y aplicaciones del concepto de the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), durante los últimos 3 años en contextos de instituciones de educación superior. Del análisis crítico de esta recopilación documental, se obtiene como resultado un esquema de estrategia de seis etapas, integrado a las políticas de calidad institucionales, y que incluya un análisis de constricciones, el establecimiento de un plan de incentivos, de redes de colaboración interinstitucionales y de espacios flexibles de experimentación. Se concluye que la SoTL es un marco de trabajo consolidado y respaldado a nivel mundial y que ofrece las herramientas necesarias para establecer la integración deseada entre docencia, investigación y desarrollo académico y profesional en UAPA y UNED.
